a revised version on the Talanha Website(s). The revised version will
be effective at the time of posting.
Your Details
We do not, under any circumstances sell, lend or distribute your
details to anyone.
We do need some of your information so as to deliver your order to
you in the most efficient manner possible and to contact you should
there be an error in the transaction.
Your details are not stored on our server but on a the server of
the payment provider.
The Use of "Cookies"
You will need to have javascript and cookies enabled to shop
at Talanha. "Cookies" are small files of data that reside on your
computer and allow us to recognise you as a Talanha customer. A session
cookie is for both our protection, to secure your visit and prevent
our pages from being hijacked. Once you leave our site this cookie
expires and no longer have any effect.
We also use longer-lasting cookies to display your details on the
shipping address form, so that you don't have to retype all your details
and address each time you shop with Talanha. This longlasting cookie
is optional and you are given the choice after filling in your shipping
details.
Website Traffic Information
Due to the way that World Wide Web communication standards work,
when you arrive at or leave the Talanha website, we automatically
collect information on which pages of our Website you visit, your
IP addresses, the type of browser you use and the times you access
our Website. We use this information to try to understand your preferences
better and to manage page layout and design, so as to improve your
shopping experience. In this regard, Talanha would always love to
here from you.

Delivery
Please note that the goods we sell are hand made and nearly
all goods are made to order. Whilst every effort is made to
ensure goods are received as soon as possible, Talanha shall not be
liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses caused by any delay
in delivery of your goods.
The purchaser takes full responsibility for the goods once they have
been delivered and / or signed for. Before goods are accepted it is
important that they are checked for any signs of damage. In the event
goods are signed for unchecked or you suspect there may have been
damaged during transit this should be noted on the carriers delivery
documentation at the time of signing.
In the event that Talanha is unable to fulfill the order within 7
days of payment and there are no other items you would like to exchange
to the same value, you can request a refund. For custom made orders
for "personallyl requested items", no refund or cancellation can be
made without our authorisation.

Pricing
Prices quoted on our web site include VAT and UK / European Union
delivery unless otherwise stated. VAT will not be applicable where
we have been provided with a registered UK / EC VAT number. Any price
changes to those published on our web site will be notified to the
client by phone before the order is processed and any money charged
to credit or debit cards. Liability for any import duties for clients
outside the UK is the responsibility of the purchaser.
No surcharges are made for credit card payments made through the
PayPal payment gateway.
Payment
Please note that goods ordered by credit card must be delivered
to the cardholders address unless a prior arrangement has been
made with the credit card company. Goods will be dispatched following
receipt of cleared funds or, in the event of credit/ charge card payments,
once the transaction has been authorised by the credit card company.
You can also pay by bank transfer or by personal / business / building
society cheque, please call contact us, with your order numbers, for
details. The contact numbers are on the "Contact Us" page.
To reduce the risk of credit card fraud Talanha reserves the right
to refuse an order if the credit card transaction is not authorised
or your cheque is not cleared. These checks do not breach any of your
rights, as mentioned above, but are merely to protect the cardholder
and Talanha from fraud. Any credit card information is held on a secure
server.
Guaranteed items
All African Butterfly hair combs / clips come with a one year
guarantee. In the unlikely event of a clip breaking within the
guarantee period; we will gladly replace it. The clip must be returned
to us with the guarnatee card it was sold with. Before returning a
broken comb, you must obtain a returns number from us. We may ask
for more details with regard to the damage or break.
A replacement comb will be sent out only when we have recieved the
broken comb and assessed the problem. If the guarantee has been void
as a result of certain treatment or abnormally rough handling . .
. it is likley your comb will not be replaced.
The guarantee on a clip will become void should the comb be exposed
to hair spray, water, long periods of sunlight, abnormal wear and
tear, rough handling. Please see care instructions for details on
looking after your comb.
Postage:
All your chosen items will be sent by standard airmail, unless you
specifically chose registered mail or to use a courier company. The
rates used are based on the South African Post Office rates found
at www.sapo.co.za.
No dispatches will be made to a Post Office Box address.
Delivery can only be made to a physical address as discribed on your
PayPal or Credit Card accounts.
Need your purchase "...like urgent?"
The Alternative is to use the more expensive option
- Courier. Contact us and we will hunt for
the best option and supply you with a quote to get your purchase there
in time for the special occasion.
Returns Policy and Information:
A chosen item not quite right?
Appreciate that all our goods are hand crafted, as a result no two
items within the same classification or range will be exactly the
same. This is what makes your chosen work of art so unique.
It is very unlikely someone else will have one too. As a result
some of the pictures of the article may differ to the product received.
We do make every effort to get your choice correct, but in the event
you are not totally happy, we will accept the article back on the
following conditions;
- The item has no damage, burns or spills evident
on it
- It is returned in the original packaging
- The Item
is returned within seven (12) days of receipt
- the postage and
packaging will not be refunded
- the package is returned with
"Signed for" tracking unless other method is agreed upon
- a "Return"
number ( \\R. No: xxxx ) is obtained.

Please ensure you have obtained a "\\R. No: xxxx" (return
number) from us before completing your label. See here
for contact details. A 20% handling fee will be charged on
all returns - your product must be free from damage, clean and your
guarantee (if this applies to the product) must be returned. Should
there be any problems, please put this in writing and return mail
with the goods - via insured, recorded or registered post (at the
customer's expense) - to the Talanha postal mail address only. Should
any losses in the mail system occur then that will be for the customer's
account.

We, at Talanha, pride ourselves on the high standard of service provided
to you, however, should you have a problem with the goods you have
purchased or the service you have received you can contact customer
services by phone, E-mail or fax. The matter will be investigated
and responded to within 7 working days.
